Fun Facts

One fun fact about me is my love of music. I thoroughly enjoy discovering and listening to new music. However, despite my love for music, I have never fully learned how to play an instrument. I've always been too busy with other activities and have never had the time to learn. I've been trying to learn to play guitar in the past few years, and I am just now starting to not be horrible at it!

About Me

I am a senior student at wayne-state-university">Wayne State University majoring in Honors Psychology. For the past four years I have been a student athlete on Wayne State's football team as a kicker and punter. I am currently an undergraduate research assistant for two separate laboratories, both of which study child-parent interactions. In the near future I plan on applying to graduate school to pursue my Ph.D. in Clinical Health Psychology. My career goals are to become a professor at a university, a therapist, and a lead researcher.

Most of my experience detroit">tutoring involves volunteer detroit">tutoring for student-athletes at wayne-state-university">Wayne State University under the supervision of the department's learning specialist, Dr. Maria Sepulveda. I have tutored other non-student-athlete college students as well, and it has always been a rewarding experience. Working with Frog detroit">Tutoring would allow me to reach out to and have a positive impact on a broader group of students at various education levels.

As a student, I understand the difficulty and frustration of learning new and difficult concepts. Everyone has their own way of learning, and as a detroit">tutor, I want to help students not only learn the material, but also teach students the fundamentals of learning so that they may be able to apply the tools on their own. With a positive attitude and the proper direction, we are capable of great things.
