I have a lot of passions in life, one being spending time with my dog Candy. I would like to say that I take her on walks but it would be accurate to say she takes me! I would like to try everything at least once and have a long bucket list that includes things such as swimming with dolphins and going skydiving. About Me

I graduated with my undergraduate degree from Muskingum University in December of 2009 (Cum Laude) with a double major in Business and Economics and with a minor in English. I began my graduate studies at Ohio Dominican University in March of 2011. I will be graduating with a Masters of Business Administration degree in May of 2012 with a specialization in leadership. My ultimate goal is to one day become a professor so that I can take what I have learned in the classroom as well as in the workplace to educate the next generation of business leaders.

When I was pursuing my undergrad degree I got the opportunity to become a columbus">tutor. A close friend of mine was coordinating the columbus">tutoring program and asked for volunteers. I jumped at the chance to become a columbus">tutor and signed up immediately. The first student I tutored in reading-comprehension/ohio/columbus">reading comprehension and the second in math. Both improved their skills tremendously over the course of our time together which was a very rewarding experience.

columbus">Tutoring to me is not just about sitting down every week to complete homework assignments, it is about getting to know the student and building a good relationship with them. Building rapport allows me to formulate a lesson plan that fits the student's unique learning style and personality. The key for every student is to know your own strengths and weaknesses and look at every challenge as an opportunity to not only gain knowledge but also learn about yourself.
