Fun Facts

I love music. As general or cliche as that may seem, I can't help but feel compelled to write about music when given the opportunity to share something about myself. So many things in life change or get buried behind new memories, but music is one of those beautiful tools that can bring me back. What I love most is that music serves as common ground for all walks of life to come together. I encourage myself to live musically, and I am always pleased when I see others doing the same.

About Me

I am a Chemistry major attending El Centro College, but I previously attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. I have a 4.0 in my major area of study, and I plan on transferring to SMU in the fall to pursue a pre-professional degree in Medicine. I hope to attend medical school after earning my Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry.

I have tutored students in the past of different grade levels, and different abilities. I have tutored high school students who simply could not grasp some of the concepts that were being taught in their chemistry, biology or math courses; I have also tutored students in my own college courses who were falling behind due to lack of understanding of the material. dallas">Tutors have the ability to make a student realize that struggling is OK, and that not understanding something in a course is not a reflection of intelligence but rather a reflection of personal learning style.

I approach dallas">tutoring as a responsibility. I have the responsibility to ensure that every student I work with gets a customized learning experience that will yield optimal results. Grades are important, and I love seeing the satisfaction students have when they get the actual pay-off of their hard work when grades go up. My philosophy has been that valuing education, and wanting to learn and keep the mind active is what will ultimately help students become the self-motivated "A" student. I want the people I work with to succeed and feel confident in their education. Confidence breeds the ambition required to follow one's own path and to pursue aspirations without fear.
