Fun Facts

My parents took me to my first college football game when I was nine months old; since then, football has become a serious passion of mine. I love to play tennis on warm, sunny days and read a good book on the rainy ones. I'm an absolute bookworm; from fiction, to biographies, to historical revisions, I can't get enough of the written word.

About Me

I am currently a junior Political Communication and Political Science double major at the washington-university">George washington-university">Washington University. I was recently named to the Dean's List for the third semester in a row. With an overall GPA of 3.98, I am in the top 2 percent of my class. After I graduate, I hope to work as either a political consultant for a successful firm or an editorial writer for a major publication.

I began washington-dc">tutoring early on in middle school as a member of the Junior Beta Club. In both before and after-school sessions, I helped students reach their potential in subjects ranging from social studies to algebra. When I entered high school, I became a part-time nanny for elementary-aged children in my neighborhood. I assisted the children with their homework, helping them understand concepts they were taught earlier in the day. I became a French washington-dc">tutor in my junior year of high school. I worked collaboratively with the students' teacher to create lessons that reinforced language skills taught in the classroom in after-school sessions twice a week. Over the years, I've developed a passion for helping students who need it; I look forward to pursuing this passion with Frog washington-dc">Tutoring.

My approach is simple: tailor lessons to the student. I discovered at a young age that hearing a concept explained didn't help me understand it; I needed to see it. When it comes to learning, one lesson plan does not fit all. Different students have different needs, and my first step is to identify those needs. By tailoring lessons to the individual, I give students an opportunity to explore and internalize concepts in a way that makes sense to them. I guide students to not just memorize material, but to truly comprehend it. With tailored guidance and practice, students will arrive at answers on their own, building their self-confidence and establishing a strong foundation for future learning.
