Fun Facts
I am absolutely in love with Disney! My favorite Disney movie is Up because I believe that Adventure is out there! One of my favorite things to do is travel and bring along my camera because I love capturing memories of vacations or breathtaking sceneries. I also like to pick up my ukulele and sing along when I have free time. Learning new songs is always a challenge, but I enjoy the challenge!
About Me
I am a sophomore Accounting and Information Systems major at Santa Clara University. Once I graduate, I would like to become a Certified Public Accountant. I hope to work for one of the Big 4 accounting firms in the Silicon Valley.
Experience
During my senior year of high school and the summer following my senior year, I was a Teacher's Assistant at Learning Bee Learning Center. I really enjoyed working with the kids and developing close bonds with them. I found it extremely rewarding to watch them learn and grow alongside their peers. Prior to my job as a Teacher's Assistant, I devoted my summers in high school to volunteering as a tutor at local public libraries.
Approach
When I was younger, I found that the best way for me to learn was to follow step by step examples. Breaking apart the problem into parts helped me better understand hard concepts. As a tutor I like to first provide the student with examples and then help the student set up the problem. Then, I have them focus on trying to solve the problem by themselves. By doing so, I believe it sets up a good foundation for their future educational career by helping them develop solid independent study habits.

Accounting and Information Systems
Calculus I Tutoring
I have taken Business for Calculus I at Santa Clara University and received an "A" in the class. I have also taken Calculus I during my senior year of high school and received an "A" as well.
College Algebra Tutoring
I received a 32/33 on my Calculus Readiness Exam taken prior to attending Santa Clara University. Therefore, I was not required to take Algebra in college as I was deemed proficient. I have taken Algebra I and II and received an "A" in both courses.
Economics Tutoring
I have taken ECON 1, ECON 2, and ECON 3 at Santa Clara University. The grades I received were "A", "A-", and "A", respectively. I have also taken Economics in high school and received an "A" grade.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
Pre-Calculus is the foundation of Calculus, which I find that I excel at. I received a 32/33 on my Calculus Readiness Exam taken prior to attending Santa Clara University. I have also taken Pre-Calculus at Irvington High School and received a "B".
Trigonometry Tutoring
I received an A in my Trigonometry class taken at Irvington High School.
Algebra Tutoring
I took Algebra Honors in 8th grade at Horner Junior High School and received an "A-". I have also previously tutored 8th grade students in advanced Algebra.
Algebra II Tutoring
I received an "A" in my Algebra II class taken at Irvington High School.
Calculus Tutoring
I received an "A" in both semesters of Calculus taken at Irvington High School. I have also taken two Calculus classes at Santa Clara University and received an "A" in both classes.
Chinese Tutoring
I took Chinese 1, Chinese 2, and Chinese 3 at Irvington High School and received an "A" in all three classes.
Math Tutoring
I have tutored students in math at summer tutoring programs hosted by local public libraries. The grades I tutored include 1st, 3rd, 6th, and 8th.
Micro-Economics Tutoring
I took ECON 1, or Microeconomics, at Santa Cara University and received an "A". I also took Economics in high school and received an "A" as well.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
I took Pre-Algebra Honors in 7th grade and received an "A-" in the class. I have experience tutoring 6th grade students in Pre-Algebra.
SAT Math Tutoring
My SAT Math score was 730. This is the national 95th percentile, which means I scored higher than 95% of the students who took the SAT.
Middle School Math Tutoring
I took Pre-Algebra Honors and Algebra Honors in junior high and received an "A-" in both classes. I have previously tutored advanced 8th grade students in Geometry as well.
Elementary Math Tutoring
I have previously tutored grades 1, 3, and 6 both individually and in small groups. I developed my own curriculum to help the students reach an advanced level of math.
ACT Math Tutoring
My ACT Mathematics score is 34. My score met the ACT College Readiness Benchmark.
