I love the Chinese culture and I am training in Southern Kung Fu. The Romance of the Three Kingdoms was my favorite era during the Han dynasty and Cao Cao is my favorite historical figure.
About Me
I am a senior in college majoring in linguistics in Colorado. I hope to become a language analyst for the NSA after I graduate and travel around China furthering my studies.
Experience
In my academic career I was always on the Dean's and Principal's for academic achievements. During my high school years I was in the AP program for many different subjects and I have worked at the Kumon tutoring center as well as the Teacher's Education Department on my college campus.
Approach
I have had the experience of various approaches of learning. I find that being energetic and persistent is key in learning. Engaging the learner and catering to their learning style is a giant factor in education. Not every person learns the same way and it is important to cater to everyone's learning style so that each person can get the help they need.

Lingusitics
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I have tutored in Kumon for both Reading and Math. During those sessions students had to read passages and comprehend them and they were tested on how much they could. I also have background in Honors Reading, English and Writing classes throughout my academic career.
History Tutoring
I have taken the AP History test in my junior year of high school and received the score of of 5 on the AP test. In college I have taken American History to 1865 (A-), and China, Japan, Korea since 1800 (B-). In middle school and high school I was in honors History classes and received As in each.
Writing Tutoring
In high school I have taken Honors Writing classes as well as independent study for writing in both creative and non creative writing. For my college classes I write many papers and have taken Composition theory with a final grade of B.
Psychology Tutoring
I have taken Introductory Psychology my freshman year of college. I have also taken Psycholinguistics this year which is a mixture of Psychology and Linguistics. In my Intro to Psychology class I received the final grade of A.
AP History Tutoring
I have taken the AP History test in my junior year of high school and received the score of of 5 on the AP test. In college I have taken American History to 1865 (A-), and China, Japan, Korea since 1800 (B-).

I have taken Freshmen Composition with a final grade of A-, Introduction to Linguistics with a final grade of B, History of the English language with a final grade of A, Semantics with a B, and Old English is a B. These were requirements of my Linguistics major and all deal with the English language in both analyzing and researching its historical roots. I have also taken the AP English test in High School and received the score of 5.
Literature Tutoring
I have taken Introduction to Literature with a B-. This course was a requirement for my English Literature minor and it is related because it is the required introductory course. Introduction to Literary Studies with an A- and Composition Studies with a B-. These courses were also a requirement for my English Literature minor. I have also taken American Literature from Beginning to Civil War (A) and American Literature Civil War to Present (B-).
