I love the outdoors. I enjoy camping, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, biking, playing soccer, running and exploring nature. I also really enjoy cooking. Cooking really allows my brain to relax as well as making myself a wonderful homemade meal. I also love to travel the world; I love to immerse myself in other cultures and see how their ways of life differ so much from ours. About Me

I am originally from Minnesota and the oldest daughter out of three sisters. I moved out to Avon, CO about five years ago and in the fall of 2012 I made the decision to move and complete my degree at University of Colorado: Denver. I will be graduating in the spring of 2015 with a degree in Secondary Science Education and I am so excited to become a teacher. My true passion lies in working with students on a daily basis and helping them actually understand and succeed in the areas of math and science.

My tutoring experience ranges from elementary school to middle school in the subjects of math and science. I am confident in myself that I will be a great high school tutor as well especially because that is the grade levels that I am pursuing a career in currently.

My approach when it comes to tutoring is to first identify the problem at hand and how we, the student and I, are going to accomplish solving it. Then I evaluate the students way of learning and what approach I think will work the best in helping this student understand the particular subject area. In my opinion it is always important to have fun as well, learning should involve some laughing!!!
