About Me

I am 23 year old certified elementary school teacher from Lansing, Michigan. I am passionate about education and want to gain experience in the field from multiple angles. I have teaching experience through my coursework, fieldwork, and student teaching at the University of Michigan. I have also been involved in educational cognitive psychology research for the past 5 years. The research that I was apart of investigated whether intelligence could be increased through an educational video game. Now, I'm looking to add to my depth of educational knowledge through denver">tutoring. Many of them would come to me often asking for extra explanations because they were too scared to ask questions in class. This continued on through all of middle school and high school and often I would help in other subjects too, especially science. I always enjoyed when I could help my peers have those "ah-ha" moments - when everything finally seemed to click for them! My denver">tutoring experience only grew once I entered college and was accepted into the School of Education. One specific class focused on analyzing student work in math, developing a denver">tutoring intervention, and then creating an assessment to determine the efficacy of your intervention. I used visual aides, modeli
