When I'm not atlanta">tutoring other students, I spend a lot of my time atlanta">tutoring...myself! Yes, that's right, even atlanta">tutors and teachers have room to learn, and often they do so from the very pupils they're meant to instruct! About Me

I am a third year student at Emory University where I major in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology. My degree, however, reflects only a blip on the wide spectrum of my fascination with learning. I am also a student of literature, history (particularly American social and political history), poetry, physics and more. I hail originally from the Ozarks of southwest Missouri.

I believe in a specific formula for every student, a formula that can be achieved through minor adjustments of the three P's: presentation, phrasing, and in many cases just sheer persistence. Regardless of what the student's formula is, my objective always boils down to their conceptual understanding, which is different from what I call ordinary "surface learning." While surface learning MIGHT prepare a student for their upcoming test, conceptual learning is more conducive to critical thinking and definitely more versatile. Students who acquire such flexibility of mind are destined for classroom success, and more importantly, they ready themselves for a lifetime enriched by the thirst for knowledge.
