Fun Facts

I have been teaching and coaching for 25 years. I had the opportunity to coach against Drew Brees when he played at high school football at Austin Westlake. That year they went undefeated and won state. The day they beat was my birthday.

About Me

I am a 1990 graduate for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, then known as Corpus Christi State University. I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology. I am Texas certified to teach 6th thru 12th mathematics and All Level Kinesiology.

Experience

I have taught math-middle-school/texas/corpus-christi">middle school math for 15 years and high school math for 10 years. I have also done some tutoring to help students prepare them for the STAAR test and Algebra I end of course exams.

Approach

As a tutor, I embrace the opportunity to help a student one to one. Sometimes in the classroom, students get overshadowed by their peers or just are too embarassed to ask questions. I will build on what students already know and helped them discover the all to common rules that students have a hard time remembering. If they discover, they retain information better.
