About Me

I am an educated person whom never gives up. I can say that I am exactly where I want to be in my career right now. I have accomplished many goals that I've set in my life. I enjoy helping others and making a difference in people's life everyday. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and taught for 1 year. I have my Master's Degree in Rehab Counseling from The University of Texas Pan American. I am currently a Rehabilitation Counselor, which I assist people with physical and/or mental disabilities find suitable employment within their interests, abilities, limitations, and strengths.

My four years as Teacher's Assistant was a great experience. I assisted students with their daily assignments, homework, and afterschool tutoring in all subjects. I developed activities and lessons to meet student's needs so they can achieve their goals. I really enjoy working with student's and preparing them in becoming successful in their careers. While pursuing my Master's Degree, I taught fourth grade English Language Arts and Social Studies. I tutored student's after school and on Saturday's who struggled with their assignments/homework and prepared them for the State Exam.

I see everyone as an individual who has different learning styles. Some are Visual Learners, which they learn by seeing things or materials like videos, presentations, maps, flashcards, using highlighters, or circling words. Some are Auditory Learners which they learn best by listening. Last but not least, Kinesthetic Learner's which learn through experiencing or doing things. They are hands-on learners.
