Fun Facts

The first thing people learn about is how much of a geek and nerd I am, but don't take that the wrong way. I am extremely proud of my geekiness. I love science and the general idea of learning new things. I also enjoy anything SciFi related, and most forms of games (video, board, cards, anything).

About Me

I am a senior in Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. I am dual majoring in Biochemistry and Biomedical, but I favor the chemistry major more. I will be graduating in December 2013, and I want to go on to get a masters in chemistry with a emphasis on education. I plan on teaching chemistry, biology, and/or math for High school or Community college.

I am the go to guy in most of my classes when they need to understand something better. Although I haven't had a formal job or position as a tutor, I have organized group sessions and one-one sessions with my classmates constantly throughout college. They give me praise and always come back for the next section, so I assume I am doing a good job.

The biggest thing I take into consideration is how the person is viewing the question. I frequently hear a classmate ask the teacher a question, but the answer the teacher gives is completely irrelevant to the question asked. This is due to a breakdown in communication on either caused by the teacher, students, or both. I focus on trying to find how they view the problem, then work from their outwards.
