Fun Facts

I am from El Paso, TX and have two brothers. I enjoy playing volleyball and actually played at Sul Ross State. I am interested in many outdoor activities and love to swim. My friends refer to me as a major nerd because I love to learn new things and really love to read!

About Me

I am a very intellectual student and love teaching about science and math. I am an excellent reader and work great with all ages. I am extremely dependable and have tons of patience. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Conservation Biology from ross-state-university">Sul Ross State University. I graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with my Master of Science in Marine Biology.


I have a very patient approach. I like to find out what my student likes and what they do not fully understand before I begin anything. I like to try and incorporate what my student likes into teaching methods. Hands-on teaching and allowing the student to make and understand their mistakes has proven to be very effective to me. I will try different things if one does not work.

Experience

I have tutored both my siblings as well as friends in college. I have worked in various classrooms when I was in High School and have tutored many freshman when I attended ross-state-university">Sul Ross State University. I was also a teaching assistant for introductory biology at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.

I have experience in educating younger children as well by working with the Texas State Aquarium. I have worked two summers as a Sea Camp counselor where we educate children about marine sciences.
