About Me

I am a born and raised native of the Corpus Christi area. I am a recent graduate of Texas Tech University class of 2010. I received a B.S. degree in Sociology with Associates in Forensic Science and Chemistry. I recently just enlisted into the U.S. Army Airforce Reserves and when in a few years I plan on earning my M.S./PhD in a forensic-related field.

I have roughly over five years of experience with tutoring students of all ages. I have worked various occupations dealing with developing students literary skills from daycare services to after school programs to college prep programs. When I grow up, I would love to do research in forensic science while teaching at the college level. I come from a long line of educators so teaching is definitely in my genes.

I basically have two main approaches when it comes to tutoring. First, I believe in using the likes and interests of a student to apply them to studying. In other words, I want to make learning something a student likes to do and not something a student feels obligated to do. Second, I try to always apply my first approach to the learning environment. Learning should always be fun for a student and will always be fun and exciting for all of my students!
