A hobby of mine is fishing. I love to go to the beach with friends and just have a good time and try to catch some fish. Another one of my interest is music. Listening to it at home and going to concerts and being in the crowd is what I live for.

About Me

I am a junior at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi majoring in Marine & Coastal Environmental Science. I plan to graduate with a Bachelors in 2014 and then get my masters at either University of Texas Austin or Louisiana State University. My dream job would to be to work with animals and studying their environment.

I volunteered for the Junior Achievement program where I planned and taught lessons to a 5th grade class in Corpus Christi, Texas. For six weeks I taught the class various concepts and facts about economics and business. I enjoyed teaching and helping out students during this time and I'm excited to be able to do this again through Frog Tutoring.

When I entered high school I started to have a lot of trouble with the subjects I just barely understood in middle school. But when I needed help I wasn't afraid to ask for it and my teachers helped me understand the material in a positive way. I feel that the best way to help students as a tutor is to always be positive and to encourage them to reach their potential, help them learn the material they struggle with instead of just memorizing it, ask questions, and to help guide them to solutions and not just give them the answers.
