I was a fifth grader when I tutored for the very first time! I’m a highly creative person who enjoys reading (of course!) and painting. I’ve been on a vegan diet since June 2018, but I’m always OK with people eating seafood/beef / etc. in front of me.
About Me
With over 4 years of tutoring experience, I’ve developed a teaching style that is compassionate, holistic, and rigorous. (You can learn more about this in the "Approach" section). Being an educator is meaningful to me because I view every tutoring session as an opportunity to shape a student's personal and intellectual development. That's because a student gains both knowledge and character qualities (such as resilience and self-confidence) in any academic context, including tutoring.
Experience
I've completed over 1,300 tutoring hours at multiple companies, including Study.com, C2 Education, and the Varsity Tutors platform. I received a client satisfaction rating of 4.9/5.0 while on the Varsity Tutors team. Additionally, I received a 4.7/5.0 satisfaction rating on the Cambly e-learning platform, where I taught English as a Second Language to adult learners.
Approach
With over 4 years of tutoring experience, I’ve developed a teaching style that is compassionate, holistic, and rigorous. My style is compassionate because I know that extending true kindness to someone helps two people to build strong rapport and trust, which, in a tutoring context, can help a student to learn more. That’s because students learn best from teachers they trust! My teaching style is holistic, because I address the student as a whole person, and I assign homework that is demanding
