About Me
Having recently moved to Lakewood from the mountains, I’m truly excited to be able to work as a denver">tutor around metro Denver, and plan to continue with it as a life-long profession, even while pursuing further careers. For the experience of teaching abroad as well, I plan to enroll in the Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) program offered in Denver and then choose a country in which to work as a teacher. After teaching abroad, I will choose an area of study to begin graduate school, possibly the Library Science field of education.
I have worked with students ranging from elementary school
through the college level. My experience includes:
* After-school activities and bi-lingual homework help with elementary school children, ages five through 11.
* In-home denver">tutoring with a fifth grader -- covering math, science, language arts, and history -- and assisting parents by taking him to and picking him up from after-school activities.
* denver">Tutoring middle school students in Spanish and English, typing, math, science, and language arts.
* Helping students in college level Spanish.
* Peer denver">tutoring for CU college students in the Introduction to Humanities II course.
* A variety of general teaching experience involving larger groups of students as well.

Although I will follow the plans of what a teacher or parent wants the student to learn, I don’t stick rigidly to just one method of teaching for every student I help.
It is important for me to find out what works best for every individual, building on their strengths and working for improvement in challenging areas.
I use many examples to explain things and emphasize the importance of practice a
