I am a published writer. Writing and creating stories is one of my favorite things to do. I write chapter books for kids ages 9-13 and also books for teens. Reading mysteries and watching scary movies are other things I like to do.

I am a reading teacher, online tutor, and author. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education as well as National Board Certification.

Experience

I have twelve years of experience as a general classroom teacher for grades K-2; I have worked as a reading interventionist for grades 3-5; I design my curriculum for math and reading classes; I have worked as a reading clinician for Linda Mood-Bell Reading Processes Centers; I have taught English to students online for the past six years.

Approach

I strive to make my instruction engaging and encouraging. Patience is key when it comes to correction and reminding my students that they are learning and it's okay to make mistakes. I believe that all students are capable of learning anything and if one approach doesn't work, we'll try something else.
