Fun Facts
People usually can't pinpoint my nationality. That's because I'm half Italian and half Chinese! I was born in Italy and moved to Miami when I was 8. I like to think I have the best of both worlds, food-wise that is! Another fun fact about me is that I'm an opera singer.
About Me
I am a stay-at-home mother of three and a student well. I graduated with my bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering and Masters in Integrative medicine. I maintained Dean's list all throughout my academic career and was salutatorian of my class. Currently I am completing another Bachelor's in Music! I've always had a passion for teaching and enjoy tutoring one-on-one the most. Other than that I love playing sports, doing yoga, Zumba and singing.
Experience
While getting my degrees I worked as a tutor in my University to fellow students. I have always had a passion for teaching and do it whenever I get the chance, whether it was in study groups or with a younger sibling or friend. In high school I also started a free tutoring group to fellow students.
Approach
I like to think of tutors as facilitators of learning. I want to stimulate a person to arrive at the answer and truly understand the question rather than explaining and giving the answer. I enjoy figuring out where and what exactly isn't clear to find the root of the issue. It's fulfilling to see them gain confidence once they understand something more fundamentally.

I grew up around Japanese families and learned basic Japanese from playing with children. Fast forward 10 years and I took three levels of Japanese at the college level. I passed them with As. To this day I have a best friend who speaks mostly Japanese to me when we have conversations.
