Fun Facts

I love to learn and help others learning. I also love cooking and baking. My favorite pastime is usually watching a new movie or going out to eat with friends. I also enjoy traveling around the world. I have traveled to Morocco, United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia so far. I believe that knowledge comes from first-hand experience. This is the reason for which I love traveling. As I experience new cultures, I am able to broaden my horizons and learn about different ways of living.

About Me

I am a junior at Emory University. I am double majoring in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies, and I am minoring in Arabic. I hope to go to law school after graduation, and I want to become an International lawyer.

Last year, I was blessed to be both an Arabic atlanta">tutor and Political Science SI at Oxford College of Emory University. As an Arabic atlanta">tutor, I helped other students to improve and practice their Arabic. This was accomplished through one on one conversations and test prep. I would help most students with their homework and then give them challenging test questions that put their skills to the test. As a Political Science SI, I organized weekly SI sessions. Here, I summarized all the material that was being taught in class. I also helped students with their writing skills through writing workshops. I further prepared mock tests that were given to students before every test. This helped the students to prepare for the test and evaluate their understanding of the material.

My atlanta">tutoring approach is simple. I strongly believe that the student needs to master the material through practice. After this mastery, the student should be quizzed and given challenging questions so that his/her skills are tested. This would make the student both test-ready and confident. I also believe in the one step ahead policy. After the student has completed his or her current course work, I would help him or her to move on farther. This way the student will always be ahead and well prepared.
