Fun Facts

As a newcomer to Albuquerque, I love exploring the city with my family. My family, a wife and two young kids, enjoy talking long walks through neighborhoods, parks, and walking trails. I am an avid baseball fan, both real life and fantasy. During my free time I prefer being outside hiking, skiing, riding my bike, playing golf, reading, or walking with my family.

About Me

After complete an undergraduate and 2 graduate degrees in religion, I served as a youth pastor for 2 years. I moved to Albuquerque in January with my wife and 2 kids to pastor a church in the area. One of my joys in being a pastor is helping people. It is this joy that has led me to return to school in order to pursue a degree in counseling. So, like you, I am a student who is continuing to learn discover the exciting, frustrating, and never-ending pursuit of becoming a better writing.

I taught for two semesters at a local community college. I have experience helping students right well-supported, well-organized, and well-argued position papers. I also had the joy of grading their papers. This experience, coupled with my academic training, has given me a keen eye for writing papers. I make it a priority in my class to spend a couple of class periods working with my students to help them develop reputable academic papers.

I thoroughly enjoy working with students one-on-one. I try to help students by guiding them in the writing process. I believe a student learns best when he/she arrives at a conclusion on their own. So my goal is to ask questions and offer aid that pushes the students in the right direction, but ultimately let them express their thoughts and conclusions.
