I try to stay active as much as possible! I love running, swimming, biking, hiking, and many other activities and sports. Outside is my favorite place to be! I am the oldest of seven siblings and was born and raised in Dallas, Texas.

About Me

I went to a performing and visual arts high school in Dallas, Texas where I specialized in painting, drawing, and sculpture. Though I loved it, I decided to take my academic pursuits in a completely different direction upon entering college. I am a senior majoring in aerospace engineering and minoring in business at the University of Texas. I absolutely love living in Austin and studying at UT. Upon completion of my bachelors degree I want to attend graduate school and eventually pursue a career in the aerospace industry.

I am the oldest of seven siblings and have enjoyed helping them with their homework since I was young. Because my siblings range from four to twenty in age I have learned to teach concepts to people who are at varying ability and grade levels. As a senior in high school I was head of our freshmen orientation program. I assigned each senior that participated in the program to one or two freshman 'buddies' who they were to mentor, austin">tutor, and guide through their freshmen year. This was my first formal experience with austin">tutoring. I worked with several freshman and learned how to individualize concepts to each student in a way that would allow that individual to best understand and be able to apply what they were learning. Throughout college I have helped my classmates understand topics from lectures and textbooks. I love helping people learn, and working with Frog austin">Tutoring gives me the opportunity to work with a greater variety of students and subject matter!

I know no two students are the same and try to tailor my approach and lesson plan to the needs of each individual. I try to break down complex concepts into smaller ideas that the student can relate to or more easily understand. I think it is extremely important for students to arrive at answers and conclusions on their own with guidance from the austin">tutor, and that putting concepts into practice is important in achieving total comprehension of a subject or topic.
