I love watching all kinds of sports, but I really love watching hockey, volleyball, and college football. I really enjoy being around pets. Also, I love to read, sometimes outside when the weather is nice.

About Me

I am a senior Elementary Education major with a History minor at Texas A&M University. Beginning this fall, I will be working towards receiving my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction while completing the final year of my Undergraduate program. Additionally, I have passed all EC-6 content exams (ELA, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Fine Arts, Health, and Physical Education) in Texas and am working towards taking the Science of Teaching Reading Exam.

Experience

As a student at Texas A&M, I was given the opportunity to observe and work in a 1st-grade classroom where I frequently engaged in one-on-one learning opportunities with students. These opportunities happened with multiple subjects but primarily focused on math and reading.

Approach

As a child, and at times still today, I found myself overwhelmed by the things that felt challenging. I like to try to keep students calm by remaining calm and providing gentle reminders that they can do challenging things and when they feel overwhelmed it is okay to look away and take a breath. I also like to do this through the use of humor and showing that everyone makes mistakes and struggles.
