I am a wrestler on the Division 1 team at boston-university">Boston University, which I am very passionate about. I also love music, playing guitar, and skateboarding! I am from Southern California and have been living in Boston for three years now.
About Me
I will be a senior next year at boston-university">Boston University majoring in mechanical engineering with a concentration in manufacturing and a minor in electrical engineering. I have made Dean's List 4 out of 5 semesters and am a member of Tau Beta Pi, an engineering honor society. After I graduate I will most likely move back to California and look for work in the manufacturing and design industry.
Two years ago I had the pleasure of boston">tutoring two young boys, ages 12 and 15, for the summer, and also helped them to develop their social and athletic skills. It is also very common for me to work with teammates to help them understand their coursework (usually college level physics or calculus) and help them prepare for tests or finish homework sets. I also had some experience as a math boston">tutor in high school for a few months.
I think that it is very important for the student to understand the concepts behind what they are learning. I have seen it too often where people come to me for help and just expect me to give them the answers. While I love helping people, I believe that the whole point of boston">tutoring to teach a student so they can complete a task on their own, rather than to actually doing it for them.
