Fun Facts

While I grew up in the suburbs of North Chicago, I've always been a Packers fan because most of my family is from Wisconsin! During college, I spent two semesters away from Notre Dame, one living and interning in Washington D.C. and the other living and studying in Jerusalem. Some of my passions include knitting, cooking and reading, especially true crime.

About Me

Hello! My name is Jackie O'Brien and I am 22 years old. I am an impassioned and driven student with an interest in a diverse range of subject areas. Throughout my time at Notre Dame, I worked as a student tutor and teaching assistant for various math courses. Before I continue my career in law school at Northwestern in the fall, I hope to spend the summer and next year assisting students and helping them realize that learning can be fun.

Experience

I have always been enjoyed helping others in their studies and was able to do so throughout college as I worked as a teaching assistant and tutor in various math subjects. Additionally, I worked as both an office aide and research assistant composing various written and quantitative projects. When I realised I would have more time going into law school, I knew right away that I wanted to invest my time in tutoring fellow students!

Approach

I believe that every student has the ability to be successful in school. I am here to provide students with a new approach to studying that can help invigorate their individual passion for learning. While I never considered math to be one of my favourite subjects, I fell in love with statistics after working through the problems in a way that made the most sense to me - I believe the same can happen for you and your child
