I would like to work as a radio disc jockey with the radio name Libra. All of my books are arranged by topics. Running is the toughest yet most fulfilling thing I do.

About Me

I just completed my second year of doctoral school at Texas Christian University. I'm pursuing a doctorate in Education Studies and hope to begin work on my dissertation this fall. I have 13 years of teaching experience and am certified to teach English/Language Arts/Reading 8-12 with an ESL endorsement.

I have been a teacher and/or tutor for approximately 20 years.

I like to find out what students already know and use this existing knowledge as the basis for building new knowledge. I focus on the positive and provide students with a rationale for mastering new concepts by making learning relevant to their lives. I enjoy supporting students, not directing them. I invite questions and dialogue as meaningful parts of the learning process.

I try to incorporate hands-on manipulatives whenever possible to make theoretical concepts concrete for students.
