Fun Facts
I love teaching and making learning fun! I was studying in college to become a speech-language pathologist, until I took an ASL class. That was it for me ! I fell in love with the culture and language. I decided to become a teacher of the Deaf. Although I am certified to teach general education grades 1-6.
About Me
I am a teacher in Rockland County New York. I have the privilege to work with students ranging from kindergarten to high school!
Experience
I have experience working with students with special need and in a mainstreamed environment. I tailor all of my lessons to the specific needs of my students. Every student is a different learner! I worked in Brooklyn at a school for the Deaf, using a total communication approach. Now I work at a district where I work in mainstreamed schools, supporting students in all core academic subjects.
Approach
Learning can seem tough at times, but it's all about the approach! Making learning fun and relatable is important for success.
