Fun Facts
I love going to museums and want to be a museum professional/educator. Also, I studied abroad in Rome for a semester and it was the best experience of my life. I enjoy going to trivia night and learning random facts.
About Me
I am a recent graduate of the M.Ed. in Arts, Community, and Education program at Lesley University. I enjoy curriculum design and am pursuing a career in museum education. My goal is to bring museums to lower-income schools, so their exhibitions become more accessible.
Experience
During my second year of grad school, I was a tutor at the graduate level where I helped undergraduate and graduate students with their writing, content, and research skills. I've taught in local museum settings as well. In 2017, I served as a City Year corps member in Boston where I helped a 6th grade class.
Approach
I am a very patient and empathetic educator. Students often feel overwhelmed when they don't understand something and I am willing to really let them talk about their assignments. In addition, I follow a tutee's lead and make sure that the work is in their voice. The best teachers and professors that I had saw potential when I didn't see it in myself and that's really important for me as someone with disabilities. I hope to do that for my own students.
