I am a recent graduate and am currently applying to medical school I plan to use my gap year to teach, gain clinical experience as a medical assistant and grow my health technology startup. I also enjoy yoga, playing the harp and working on my lifestyle blog!

About Me

I am a 2020 Brown University graduate with a B.Sc in Biochemistry and Philosophy and Magna Cum Laude honors. I am up to date on college level Chemistry, Biology and Physics as well as reading and essay writing. In High School I scored a composite 2290 on the SAT (740 Reading/780 Math/770 Writing) and received the IB Diploma with HL subjects Biology, Math and Chemistry and SL subjects English, History and Spanish. Finally, I have recently taken the MCAT, scoring in the 96th percentile.

Experience

As a college level tutor, I have three years of biology teaching assistant experience and three years of peer tutoring in biology, physics, chemistry and math. As a high school level tutor, I have a year of college prep tutoring (SAT/ACT, essay writing, resume editing) and three years of experience as an IB, TOK and EE tutor.

Approach

I am very understanding of how difficult grasping concepts can be and my teaching philosophy is centered around finding new ways to present material that makes learning successful and engaging for each individual learner. I also have experienced the challenges of learning remotely firsthand during this unprecedented time.
