Fun Facts
One of the biggest fun facts about me is that I'm only 4'11", but you wouldn't know it without seeing me stand next to someone because I have such a big personality to make up for it! I've also been a dancer and a cheerleader all of my life and have performed and taught all over the country, starting with the Orange Bowl Half Time Show when I was 8 years old! I also just finished writing a poetry collection and am working through the publishing process now!
About Me
I am a senior Arts and Entertainment Management major at Pace University in the Honor's College. I've been on the Dean's list for 3 years straight and just finished 2019 as one of Pace's Top 100 Scholars based on that year's GPA. This past semester, I also won Pace's 17th annual Business Plan Competition with a pitch for a holistic health and wellness studio I hope to start someday! Right now I'm studying for the LSAT and am planning to attend law school for entertainment or IP law in 2021.
Experience
Throughout my junior and senior years of high school I was a member of the National Honors Society, through which I tutored English students bi-weekly. I have also been a dance teacher since age 15 which has given me immense experience in translating information while maintaining positive classroom settings. During high school, I received a 33 on the ACT and took 7 AP classes, receiving scores of 3 to 5 in each, which taught me the best practices for studying for college level exams.
Approach
I have always found myself drawn to creative approaches to learning. Growing up as a dancer and performer, finding ways to incorporate active thinking - physically writing things down, speaking questions aloud to study them, or incorporating movement into memory - has been key in helping me achieve academic success. I aim to guide students through a positive and encouraging tutoring environment that encourages to explore which learning modalities are most effective for them.
