Fun Facts

I grew up in Colorado. My brother and I grew up doing lots of outdoor activities. In my family, skiing is a big part of how we used to spend our winters. Pretty much as soon we could walk, we learned how to ski, and that is what we did every weekend. After I moved to Dallas this past year the cold is what I have missed the most. I also have a 9-month-old Australian Shepard puppy named Quinn! Quinn loves to swim and will swim for hours if she had her way.

About Me

I graduated from the University of Mississippi with a B.A.Ed in Social Studies Education. I have taught middle school and high school history classes of all different levels and subjects. I have a huge passion for history and believe I know how to make it fun!

Experience

While a student teacher I had the opportunity to teach middle and high school classes. I have taught a number of different classes with different subjects. I also have experience in tutoring privately for a family here in Dallas.

Approach

As a child, I struggled with Dyslexia and ADHD which gives me a unique perspective on learning. I have come up with many different ways to help students grasp things that just aren't sticking. When one approach doesn't work, I try another until we find a way to make the information stick.
