Fun Facts

I am obsessed with plants, animals, and all other forms of life; it is what gives me my passion for Biology! My house has plants tucked in every nook and corner, and I spend my free time bonding with and caring for my pets. With how crazy life can be, knowing that I have living creatures depending on me gives me purpose and interacting with them gives me joy. A world with no other forms of life would be a very sad world indeed... I also love hiking and camping!

About Me

I am a spring 2020 graduate of Sacramento State University, where I graduated with a BS in Biology with a Biomedical Concentration and a 3.5 GPA. I love the hands on aspects of biology, and my goals are to work in a field/laboratory setting conducting analysis and to obtain my Masters to one day run a research lab.

Experience

I started tutoring American Sign Language in community college, where I really enjoyed helping students to improve their skills! I went on to University to get my Bachelors, and along the way tutored students in Biology who needed help; I tutor because I enjoy that moment when a student understands a topic that they had been struggling with, and I aim to help them not only understand but enjoy the subject. With Frog Tutoring, I can continue to spread the joy of Biology!

Approach

Having worked with a wide range of students, I realize that everyone learns differently; everybody has different study tactics that work for them, and we work together to figure out what those are! The more I can help students appreciate the topic, the more fun they will have and the more they will learn; and that is the goal, to help them grow to appreciate the topic and understand it, and the grade will come naturally. I don't do student's work, I help them with concept understanding!
