Fun Facts
I have 11 siblings! My youngest brother is 3 years old and he has Down syndrome. Does that stop him from being fully energized and in charge of my every move when we're together? Not at all! I am very passionate about family and my favorite pass-time is giggling at and with them!
About Me
I am currently finishing up my Masters of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. I also practice biomedical research in a Physiology and Biophysics lab where I contribute to an autoimmune disease study. When I graduate in December, I am hoping to earn another Masters in Public Health at Meharry Medical College. My ultimate goal is to apply to medical school and become a physician.
Experience
Both my parents have been teachers since I started grade school. Imagine them dealing with 100+ students every day and then coming home and being full of energy to assist with 5+ kids at home... Now think again! Having siblings that range from 22 years of age to now 3 (I'm 24), growing up as a big sister gave me a diverse range of personalities to work with and aid in various subjects!
Approach
Not to over-emphasize how many kids my parents produced, but my siblings all have unique learning styles and therefore I have a bag of tricks to use in assisting with various subjects- so try me! I ENJOY organization and I don't mind at all with developing plans for success. Patience is virtue that I possess, and I can work with all paces. As a student, I have learned that studying techniques should be revamped often as to maintain time-management and effectiveness!
