Fun Facts

I've recently been teaching myself how to cook, and love making unusual pasta dishes (like creamy miso pasta!). I also enjoy spending time by the water and making sculptures out of clay. My favorite fruits are blueberries and nectarines.

About Me

I am a sophomore majoring in Art History and Psychology at Yale University. At Yale, I am a Gallery Guide at the art gallery and a leader in the first-year outdoor orientation trip program. When I graduate, I hope to go to graduate school to become a psychologist or to work in a museum setting.

Experience

As a tutor with Breakthrough San Francisco, I gained experience tutoring middle schoolers in English, History, Math, and Science. I also worked with them to develop strong homework habits so that they were able to take control of their progress outside of our tutoring sessions. In addition, I tutored two first-graders in English while studying abroad in Spain my junior year of high school. I love working with students and am excited to do so with Frog Tutoring!

Approach

I work with students to help them find the solution on their own, so that they not only learn the answer, but learn how to approach problem-solving itself. I know that learning can sometimes be frustrating and discouraging, so I create a positive and encouraging environment where there is no shame in not understanding a concept right away. I meet students where they are to foster genuine curiosity and confidence, so that they can become the driving force in their own learning.
