Fun Facts

I've performed and will continue to perform stand up comedy for about 6 years now, since i was 18. I've had some big opportunities and done at least one show with about a thousand people, all the way down to shows with zero people (not kidding!) While it's probably one of the most brutal hobbies one can pick up, it has taught me a lot of valuable skills and there is nothing quite like making a room full of people, even a small room, laugh!

About Me

I graduated in December of 2019 from the University of Pennsylvania with a major in Urban Studies. I love history, writing, and all things politics. I have done a fair amount of freelance writing, of both a humorous and serious nature, for political campaigns, media organizations, and a small start-up. I have also used hundreds of hours of my time in the past months teaching myself adobe Premiere and Photoshop to broaden my skillset.

Experience

I have some experience tutoring from my days in High school, and ample experience doing public speaking and engaging people of all backgrounds and ages. I consider myself very outgoing, friendly, laid-back, and people-person! I have a good sense of humor, am fairly patient, and genuinely enjoy learning and teaching others. My parents are themselves teachers and are amazing rolemodels for me!

Approach

From my own experience as a student and a writing coach, I've learned that engaging people requires you to show energy and enthusiasm for you subject. If you don't seem to care, neither will they. I can and always will do my best to bring a lively and focussed environment to the learning setting that lets the students know that I WANT to be there. Also, encouraging as much give and take, that is, participation on their end, ensures that you have their attention and care about hearing from them.
