Fun Facts

Something I truly enjoy doing is listening to old music and watching old tv shows and movies. I'm the youngest four kids, and many of my fondest memories are of spending time watching movies with my older siblings and cousins. At our family gatherings, it's rare that we will make it an entire evening without a word or phrase sparking some form of a movie quote session.

About Me

I am an Oral Roberts University graduate with a bachelors degree in Biology. I'm currently exploring my passions in music and entrepreneurship. I've completed several math and math-influenced courses throughout my educational career.

Experience

I've completed well over 100+ volunteer tutoring hours in a variety of core subjects throughout my high school and college career. My senior year of college, I worked in our university's math department as a tutor and department assistant. I've had exposure up to Trigonometry and Elementary Statistics. I enjoy tutoring, impacting lives, and helping students see bigger pictures of life.

Approach

I'm a big fan of the study aid approach that works really well for math which includes three steps. The three steps are show, partner, and watch. The first step, "show", is where I show the student how to do an example question that includes the concepts and skills needed to complete future problems. The second step is where the student and I partner together to complete a problem, and the third step is where I watch the student complete the problem with minor assistance if necessary.
