Fun Facts

I love to go on nature walks, paint, workout, and do yoga! Whenever I get time from my busy schedule you can find me painting outside. I am the eldest daughter of four girls and I have lived all across the US and Europe, I even lived in Germany for four years! I hope to travel to the Artic circle where I can see the Northern Lights someday with my family.

About Me

I am a Doctoral student at Parker University. I graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Kinesiology in Spring 2020. My ultimate goal is to open my own chiropractic practice in central Texas where holistic health is emphasized.

Experience

During my undergrad career, I had the opportunity to volunteer for 3 years as a student teacher at a local elementary school where I was responsible for teaching science, math, and writing skills for grades 1-5. I also had the opportunity to work with local high school seniors and help them prepare for college through organizational courses for classwork, SAT prep, and resume constructing for college clubs and organizations.

Approach

In primary school, I struggled in class because I needed extra help, and the teacher often went too fast for me to grasp the concepts to truly understand. After enrolling in AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) I was given the positive environment I needed to flourish and aim for all A's. I graduated with a 4.2 GPA in high school and a 3.6 GPA in college. As a tutor it's my job to bring a positive attitude about learning and teach them the material as well as good study habits.
