Fun Facts

A fun fact about me is that I enjoying playing videos games, when I can. The most enjoyable part is beating my children!! Lol. I don't think there's anything wrong with a little righteous competition. Most of the time, they don't want me to play because they don't want me to beat them. I enjoy it because it gives me an opportunity to wind down from the day and it's just fun!

About Me

I am a recent graduate of Grambling State University (GSU) with a Bachelor's degree in English. Each semester while enrolled, I was either on the President's List or the Dean's List. In the Spring, I will return to GSU to pursue my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Reading.

Experience

I have taught as well as tutored K-12 as well as adult students. I have taught multiple subjects, including Spanish. I have tutored in the subjects of math and English. I recently completed a program at Grambling State University which provided me with an opportunity to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to adults in Costa Rica; via Zoom. It was an amazing experience. I enjoy teaching because I love providing a service and seeing the victories of those who I teach and/or tutor.

Approach

I have always believed that children learn better when they have someone before them who cares. My approach has always been to ensure the student that I care about their learning experience. It is a must to make sure they fully understand what is being taught and able to apply what they've learned.
