Fun Facts

I am a huge nerd. The type that plays dungeons and dragons as well as video games. I was also in the marching band while in high school and I played the clarinet. I have a huge passion for math and plan on becoming a math teacher in the near future.

About Me

I graduated from Youngstown State University in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering along with a minor in Mathematics. Although I love engineering, it doesn't give me the same satisfaction that helping others in math does, so I plan on heading to Cleveland State University to become a math teacher.

Experience

While I was in college I tutored some fellow students in their math classes. One student had failed college algebra a few times but he was finally able to pass with my help. I also tutored a couple high school students in geometry and algebra II. Helping others succeed is a passion of mine and it makes me feel successful as well.

Approach

I like to get to know each student and adapt my style to fit their needs. Some students learn better through visuals like graphs, others learn best through examples or seeing how what they learn can be applied to the real world. I don't expect everyone I tutor to fall in love with math, but I at least try to make a pleasant and less stressful experience.
