Fun Facts

One fun fact about me is that I LOVE field hockey and ice hockey! I play field hockey on the Varsity Field Hockey at Bates College, and I have been skating since I was just 2 years old.

About Me

I am a sophomore at Bates College double majoring in Mathematics and Statistics. I have made the Dean's List for the past two years, and was recently named to the NESCAC All-Academic team!

Experience

As a teaching assistant for a 9th-grade geometry class at The Rivers School, I had the opportunity to work 1-on-1 with 9th-grade students in math every day! I also worked as a middle school math tutor for two years. Upon entering college, I wanted to continue working with students, so I took education classes and worked in the local elementary school as a teaching assistant!

Approach

While I am a double major in Psychology and Mathematics, I have always had a soft spot for math. I have been fortunate enough to have math teachers that genuinely cared about my success and understanding of new (and sometimes confusing) topics. I hope that I will be able to help instill a love for mathematics that my teachers and tutors have instilled in me!
