Fun Facts

I love sports. I am training to run to the next Boston Marathon as a Charity runner. Basketball was my favorite sport growing up, but I really want to learn how to surf. I also love listening to music and I play it every chance I get. I am also trying to learn some piano in my free time, but I think I'm much better at appreciating music rather than creating it.

About Me

I am a senior Physics major at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I teach math for a nonprofit company called IDEA Math LLC and hope to continue my work with them when graduate and hopefully start my own nonprofit organization one day.

Experience

I tutored as a member of National Honor Society in High School. More recently however, I have worked as a math instructor at IDEA Math LLC since 2019 teaching across many classrooms, subject areas, and age groups (mainly 3rd-12th grade).

Approach

As a student I was always very quiet, shy, and even nervous with many of my teachers, especially before I got to know them. My participation was limited to simply listening and sitting in class quietly; only speaking if necessary. Since beginning my unexpected teaching career, I discovered the psychological importance in creating a light-hearted, upbeat learning environment for my students to keep them engaged and actually make learning fun and effective!
