Hello, I am Justin Helton. I love reading when I have the opportunity. I played football at Coastal Carolina University. I come from a military family so having a set organized schedule and priorities in order is not only a must, but my life! I grew up in Germany, been across Europe, which has helped me in my life and with my studies to be flexible and accepting of anything in front of me.

About Me

I attend Florida International University where I am a graduate student getting my master's degree in International/Intercultural Education. This is my second master's degree, my first was Masters of Arts in Teaching, at Coastal Carolina University where I taught at St. James High School. I got my BA in History and minored in Religion. I am projected to graduate next summer 2015, I am carrying a 3.577 GPA. My future plans are to continue into a PhD program.

At my former University I worked as a miami">tutor and mentor for the Athletics program. I was assigned multiple athletes every semester to mentor and miami">tutor, where I also monitored study hall rooms helping students with whatever work they needed assistance on.

In my approach to miami">tutoring I take from the experience I learned from working at my prior University in miami">tutoring and teaching at the high school level. Every student has his or her learning level and strategies. Here is where I feel it is important to understand what the student is struggling in and help them. To understand how the class is being taught, how the teacher wants the work done and to find the way that works for the student. Here the miami">tutor can assist the student in learning the subject in their way that works best and then work with the student so they can relay that information in class to succeed.
