Fun Facts

I have travelled in 9 countries so far: USA, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Spain, Majorca, Australia. When I was two I was so enamored with Strawberry Shortcake, the cartoon, that I wanted to change my middle name to Strawberry Shortcake. I sometimes organize my M&Ms, Gummy bears and other foods by color and/or flavor and then eat them from least liked to most liked, so my last bite is the best - just for fun.

About Me

If I have a motto it is, "I care." Above all in career and life, I continue to search for and share proactive ways to increase efficiency and streamline processes. All of this must be done with the understanding that we are all people with gifts and challenges and personal lives that affect our daily interactions. No one deserves a higher quality interaction or accountability from me, I believe we are all equal.

Experience

A native citizen of the United States of America, I have a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications and Graphic Design as well as an Associates in Business Administration. My mother is a retired English teacher and has her Masters in Non-Fiction writing. I participated in her Creative Writing workshops during high school and regularly consult her on grammar (to keep her skills honed, of course). I attended an International DOD school in Bonn, Germany and met many international friends there.

Approach

I believe everyone who wants to learn, can learn. Each student will have different ideas, goals, and learning styles, so I strive to find the right approach to each student individually. There is so much information at our fingertips and I love helping others discover new ideas and skills through language and art. I've been a Growth and Development Project Manager, a Trainer and a LEAN facilitator, in previous positions, which has honed my skills in adult learning theory and application.
