Fun Facts
Most of my free time is spent reading history books—especially biographies. I love learning about the people of the past and how they lived in their time and place. Because I pursued my undergraduate degree in Colorado, I have come to love spending time outdoors and in the mountains.
About Me
I am finishing my senior year as a History-Philosophy major at Colorado College. In the fall, I will begin to pursue a master's degree in history and beyond that, hopefully a PhD. My goal is to teach history at the university level.
Experience
I have worked as an adult ESL springs">tutor and have tutored elementary and middle school-aged children in reading and math. My experiences include in-person and online springs">tutoring. Additionally, I have had extensive experience workshopping academic essays in humanities and social science subjects.
Approach
My springs">tutoring approach is goal-oriented. During our first session, I intend to work with you to establish a long-term goal that is the overarching trajectory for our lessons. Along the way, we will formulate and attain various short-term goals that are necessary steps in reaching your long-term goal. I am also adaptable and flexible. I will encourage you to contribute your ideas—what work for you? What didn't? And we will adjust our lessons and approach accordingly, so that your needs are met.
