Fun Facts

One fun fact about me is that I love to work with children. I have always been a very lovable person and like to help others in anyway I can. I also played soccer since I was little. I have a big family and always been a lovable family that sticks together and that is what gives me my friendly and lovable personality. I love nature and love to go places that have a lot of trees and water.

About Me

I am a Junior at UMass Boston currently majoring in Health Science to either be a nurse or physician assistant. I used to live in California and attended Sacramento State University for two years. I am a mother to an 11 month old baby boy. I plan on working with kids when I graduate and also continue my education in the medical field. My goal is to be a Neonatal Nurse or Pediatrician.

In California I was part of the no child left behind and worked for a boston">tutoring company that helped immigrant and kids with financial problems by providing free boston">tutoring, the company is called Club Z! boston">Tutoring. I worked for them for two years and I tutored in school and home one on one. In school I had groups of four or five. Usually all of my students were kindergarden and Elementary students, I only had one high school student.

I grew up and went to school in Mexico until I was ten years old. I was a bright student always participating in school activities and sports. When i came to the U.S I struggled a lot because I couldn't speak English. Fortunately, I went to a bilingual Institute where I had a great teacher that taught me english. Throughout Middle School and High School I was grateful because I was a good student and didn't need extra help but yet I wanted to not just be a good student I wanted to be great so I participated in after school programs and got help from boston">tutors to enhance my learning. Since I started boston">tutoring I feel good helping other kids that went through the same thing I went through. I enjoy boston">tutoring and also enjoy sharing what I know to kids that need that extra help.
