Fun Facts
Born and raised in California I love the outdoors. You would expect to see me running, hiking, and white water rafting. Yosemite National Park is my special place and I have visited it every summer for 14 years! When I'm not outside you can find me indoors baking. I once made 300 cupcakes in one day!
About Me
I am a sophomore Child Development major at Texas Christian University. I am an Honors College student and am currently on the Dean's List for maintaining a 4.0. In the future I plan on attending Law School to become a family attorney.
Experience
This past year I have volunteered with Reading Partners and was given the amazing opportunity to help assist Elementary aged students on their reading journey. Additionally, as the oldest child in my family I am well versed in helping students with their homework and also being a good role model. Working with Frog Tutoring gives me the chance to become involved in my new community.
Approach
Growing up I didn't realize my potential to thrive. I believed that because I wasn't in the top group that meant I wasn't capable. However, this gave me the drive to become the best that I could be and led to me becoming high school valedictorian and a college honors student. I want to show students that anyone is capable and that understanding should be the goal of education. My mother is an educator and has taught me that school is about learning skills that will prepare you to be successful.
