About Me

I am a senior Biomedical Engineering Major at the University of Texas at Arlington. When I graduate, I hope to find a job at a hospital and work with medical devices.

Experience

In high school, I was a volunteer with Teen Trendsetters. I tutored elementary math as well as reading. I was glad to see that the students that I tutored had become successful in the subjects they once had some trouble with! I currently mentor high school students and help them apply to college and plan their post-high school lives!

Approach

As a child, I had some trouble with math. I was especially nervous for my TAKS test, that is until my third-grade teacher came along. She tutored me after school and was very patient with me all while constantly providing positive reinforcement. It was thanks to her that I earned a perfect score on my test that year! I intend to carry on her attitude when I tutor students by constantly encouraging them and being patient!
