Fun Facts

I love Theatre. I participated in theatre throughout High School and was in productions such as "Guys and Dolls", "The 39 Steps", and "Oklahoma". My team won 1st place at the Musical Competition of America. I love working with Animals and volunteer at the equine and poultry unit at the Fresno State campus. Occasionally I do farm tours at Fresno State.

About Me

I am currently entering my third year at fresno-state-university">Fresno State University where I am majoring in Animal Science and I have a 3.51 GPA. After college I hope to work either at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo or at the San Diego Safari. I keep myself busy by volunteering at the school farm and getting involved in the community.

I don't have professional fresno">tutoring experience but I have helped kids with homework while babysitting and have tutored friends before. Through my experience I have learned that patience is the most important quality to have when fresno">tutoring. Students learn at different paces and through different ways. I have also learned that students learn best when they work through the problems themselves. Practice tests are a great tool to reflect a students understanding of the concepts they are learning and prepare students for the actual tests they will be receiving in school.

I understand that everyone has different ways of learning. There are auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learners. My first step to fresno">tutoring is to find out what works best for the students and to create plans that will help them learn quickly and effectively. I approach fresno">tutoring with patience but understand that everyone has a timeline that they need to stick to. I believe that students learn best by working through their own problems so I will work through a lot of sample problems with the student until they understand the fundamental concepts.
