Fun Facts
One thing about me that people notice right away is that I am always smiling. It makes me very approachable and help people come to me easily for directions, guidance, or just to chat. I just love people and I will try to make a positive impact on them whenever I can.
About Me
I am a new Financial Services professional who graduated from Suffolk University (BSBA in Finance) in September of 2020. While studying for my licenses and building my practice in Newton MA, I am looking for part-time opportunities in tutoring. I am planning to go to grad school in two years because my ultimate goal is to become a Math and Finance college professor while running a successful Financial Services practice.
Experience
I have not held any formal tutoring position before but my love for teaching/tutoring started early on. From middle school to college, I always organized study groups to help other students who struggled with subjects like math, physics, accounting, etc. My childhood best friend called me her "private tutor" because I would go to her house on Saturdays to help her review the difficult lessons of the week. Working for Frog tutoring will be a stepping stone towards my goal of teaching in College.
Approach
My experience taught me the importance of one-on-one tutoring. My childhood best friend was extremely shy and would never speak in class; as a result, her grades suffered. When I started studying with her, I realized how smart she was; she just needed some one-on-one tutoring where she's comfortable engaging without fearing being judged. I think it is important to create a warm environment for students, where they are comfortable asking questions over and over until they grab the concepts.
