Those who know me well will tell you I LOVE being near water. I am a through and through beach girl and feel most at peace when I can hear the ocean waves gently lapping at the shore. I have lived in 7 states throughout my life and appreciate meeting people from all backgrounds and experiences.

About Me

I am a 2nd year medical student at University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville. I attended undergraduate at madison-university">James Madison University and received my Master's degree in Biomedical Science from Duke University. When I graduate medical school, I hope to practice Obstetrics and Gynecology in a community health setting.

Experience

Throughout college I held many jobs that involved tutoring and assisting students. I was a Teaching Assistant for college-level Microbiology and Genetics level courses. After graduation, I spent almost 2 years teaching High School level science including Physical Science, Biology and Chemistry. I taught students in grades 10-12 and worked with a variety of learning styles and needs. In Medical School, I tutor students in lower classes on a variety of subjects.

Approach

As a child, I often found myself bored in school. I realized later that it was because my learning style wasn't being catered to. I am a visual and kinesthetic learner meaning I like to see and manipulate things to learn information. My approach to tutoring is to first learn what your learning style is and then cater my assistance and lessons around your needs.
